Eyebrow Hair Transplant vs Eyebrow Microblading - Which Is Better?

Eyebrow Hair Transplant vs Eyebrow Microblading - Which Is Better?

If you want to have thick eyebrows, would you rather prefer to do microblading or have an eyebrow hair transplant?

In a casual interview we conducted with a group of women aged between 20 to 35 years old,
we asked about their eyebrow shape preferences. Many of the respondents preferred having a thick eyebrow to achieve a denser look and to follow the trend.

We were curious to know the method they would use to have thicker eyebrows. Therefore, we asked them if they would prefer to do eyebrow microblading or eyebrow transplant.

During the discussion, we found that many of them didn’t actually have enough information about eyebrow transplant.

So, it was our duty to clarify the treatment for them and provide them with more details.

What is an Eyebrow Hair Transplant?

Eyebrow hair transplant is a simple and permanent way to restore lost or thinning areas in the eyebrows. It involves taking healthy hair follicles from the back of the head and replacing them into the thin patches of the eyebrow.

The extraction of the hair follicles is done by the assistance of a motorized device named Micro Motor.

Eyebrow transplant is not a prolonged procedure, it lasts about 1-2 hours. According to the areas to be transplanted the number of grafts range between 50-300 hair follicles.

The procedure takes place under local anesthesia and conducted in three main phases:

First, the team shaves donor area at the back of the head (harvesting site) and then they extract the grafts . Second, they make incisions or canals in the recipient site on the eyebrows.

The surgeon should determine the angles very precisely to obtain natural growth. The last step then is for the team to replace or implant the extracted grafts into the canals.

at the end, Grafts will start to grow within 3 months and the final outcome shall be clear after 8 months.

Who prefers an eyebrow hair transplant?

Both genders can do an eyebrow hair transplant but women are more interested in having their eyebrows on fleek.

Back in the days, the trend was plucking the eyebrows very thin but lately thick eyebrows are the new trend.

Regardless of fashion, many people have lost their eyebrows due to accidents, burns or they were naturally born without brows. In this case, eyebrow restoration is the right choice for them.

How permanent are eyebrow hair transplant results?

Since the grafts (back of the head) are resistant to the DHT hormone that causes hair loss,

this makes the results are long-lasting and the hair never falls out. You will have a natural eyebrow that you can trim and shape the way you wish.

Weighing the effectiveness of eyebrows hair transplant and eyebrow microblading?

Eyebrow microblading, on the other hand, is a temporary method to fill in thin eyebrows and provide the illusion of fuller brows.

It works by filling a pigment into the upper layer of the skin and making fine hair strokes that mimic real hair. The results can last up to a year and a half before the color starts to fade.

Whereas eyebrow hair transplant as we explained above, is permanent and the procedure doesn’t take a long time.

Keep in mind that after eyebrow transplant you will need to trim the transplanted hair every 10 to 15 days. But, a little trim every 2 weeks is better than spending your money every 12 months for short-term treatments.
