First of all, I got help. A foreign body was removed from my ear by suction - I am a doctor and have performed this procedure myself. The Gebührenordnung für Ärzte (GOÄ) asks for 43 Euro in Germany. Here in Turkey I had to pay 11500 TL - over 400 Euros for a procedure that takes 5 min. I asked for a detailed report, giving reason for the price - so far, I did not get one. How can a tourist afford medical treatment in Turkey?
