I am completely satisfied with my visit to this place recently for my eye examination with Dr. Peggy Zeng. She was so nice and generous, she makes us feel comfortable before eye examination and she was so patient to know my eye history and to explain me in detail, how my condition was different from others. Even the front desk staff was kind enough to Check me in even though I was late, I Would highly recommend this place.

Went to see Dr. Tan for a chalazion / stye that had been persistently bothering me. From the beginning until the end everything was extremely professional and well done. The intake forms and registration were quick and mostly electronic. Dr. Tan's staff saw me first to examine my eyes and were very attentive. The equipment is state of the art. Afterwards Dr. Tan saw me and we evaluated my treatment options which ranged from topical steroids to surgical removal. I opted for the surgical removal which was a fast 10 minute process. The recovery was very quick. I went straight back to work afterwards and haven't had any pain since. My stye is almost drained and gone now, just a few hours later. I'd highly recommend this team if you need anything from a simple checkup to more complex procedures done.

Love Dr. Kevin Tan. He did my PRK procedure and checked-in with me every step of the way. I now have fabulous vision and have him to thank!
Yes, they have a lot of appointments and will run a little behind in the late afternoon. If you are on a tight schedule, recommend setting the appointment first thing in the day.

I called today and I was able to get an appointment for that day of a sty that I could not get rid of. I found them online and the doctor that came up Dr. Gelbart, but want available until next week. The only one available for today was Dr. Agange, my whole experience today with everyone in that office was phenomenal. Great job everyone!

I had a great experience at Eyecare Associates recently. I arrived for my appointment a little early was able to have my exam start right away. The COVID protocols in place put me at ease and I appreciated the extra steps taken to ensure my safety was a priority. My exam went well and I appreciate the state of the art equipment used to to image my cornea - very cool! I was able to pick out a new pair of frames during my visit. The selection of frames that are available are great with lots of high end brands to choose from. I was also able to have my current frames adjusted. Great service! I highly recommend!

I suffer from dry eyes and Dr. Tan helped me feel so much better by adding in punctual plugs. I was a bit nervous but Dr. Tan was very patient with me and explained the whole process. Adding in the punctual plugs in my tear ducts didn’t hurt at all.
The office is located in Union Square at the Tiffany’s building. Usually Union Square is intimidating with parking but there is a parking garage right across the street. I feel very comfortable at this practice and the staff is very nice. Their COVID protocols are also in place which helped me feel safe getting my eyes checked during the pandemic.

I waited a week after my procedure to write this review to be sure I still felt the same way a week later. I would say that I am even angrier than I was after my procedure.
I went in for a chalazion (stye) removal. I have had this surgery done at least 4 other times by other doctors with no issues whatsoever. I saw warning signs early in the visit as the Dr. (I don’t even know who he was, he didn’t introduce himself) started squeezing on my stye in a rough way.
Fast forward to the surgery, the doctor injects me with numbing medication in one location, all my other surgeries the doctor’s carefully numb multiple parts of the eyelid. When the procedure starts, he flips my eyelid and the pain was excruciating. I have never had an issue with this part, or any part of the procedure before with any doctor. I let him know that it was painful, and he sounded annoyed and told me to look down and don’t look up or else I could get my eyeball stuck with the needle as he put more numbing medicine in.
Then 5 minutes later after the medicine had set, he comes back and flips my eyelid to begin the surgery, again very painful but I just wanted to get it over with. He then starts cutting my eyelid and I ask “Am I supposed to be feeling this?” And he responds with “you should feel pressure.” I told him “I feel a lot more than pressure,” as I felt the knife slicing into my eyelid. He then says to me “It’s fine it will be over soon anyway.”
After this as I can feel every thing he is doing, I am noticeably uncomfortable. His assistant was pulling on the tool used to flip my eyelid which causes the device to come off my eye. He then has to reflip my eyelid, again causing massive pain. At this point with the digging into my eyelid, and having to flip it over again, I am seriously about to pass out. I told the doctor that I am about to pass out, and it was only then that he started taking me seriously.
After all of that, the doctor then proceeds to tell me he would like to pop the small stye that was next to my bigger stye. I didn’t come in for this particular stye as it seemed it was small and well managed. He popped it, again, extremely painful as he squeezes it with two q-tips. Now that particular stye a week later is even larger than the one I originally came in for.
This whole experience from start to finish was terrible. I strongly urge anyone reading this not to visit this practice. It is a week after from my procedure and I am still bloody and bruised, plus my eyelid is now bigger than it was before. I now have to visit another specialist to get this resolved.

Dr Tan and his staff are superlative in every respect. My checkup this visit was with Dr. Ann Nguyen, who is completely competent in every aspect of eye care, plus she has a wonderful, engaging personality. Her concern for her patients is 100%. She is totally professional but extremely patient oriented. Dr. Tan is a credit to this eye care practice.

Super friendly staff and great selection of frames to choose from. The prices were very reasonable. I was a little nervous before my first appointment because it is in the same building as Tiffany's (LOL). Will definitely use them as my primary eye doctor while living here.
