Hair transplant using DHI technique
DHI hair transplantation is the latest and best option for FUE hair transplantation in Turkey.
The follicles are extracted from the donor area as usual, but instead of opening the channels separately, the follicles are implanted directly into the scalp, hence the name Direct Hair Implantation.
Thanks to the use of hollow Choi pens, the follicles are filled in the pens and implanted directly into the scalp.
Advantages of DHI:
- Less bleeding.
- Faster healing and fewer wounds on the scalp.
- Less crust formation since there is no need to open the channels in a separate step.
- Can be used to thicken in between the existing hairs.
- Gives a natural result.
Disadvantages of DHI:
- It requires a high level of practice and experience to master. Beginners can do more harm than good by not having the necessary experience.
- It may cause hair follicles to break if not used properly.
- You cannot implant a large number of follicles using it because it requires more time and more effort.

Hair transplant using the Sapphire FUE
The Sapphire technique is another type of hair transplantation technique in Turkey that falls under the FUE technique.
It is done in the same way in terms of extracting the follicles, opening the channels, and implanting them. But the only difference lies in the tool used to open the channels.
The channels are opened with a V-shaped synthetic sapphire tool instead of steel blades.
Advantages of the Sapphire FUE:
- Reduces trauma and damage to the scalp thanks to the sharpness of the blades.
- Provides a natural look.
- The possibility of implanting the hair grafts at a high density per square cm.
Disadvantages of Sapphire FUE:
- Its cost may be higher than the traditional FUE technique.

Micro FUE Hair Transplant
The Micro FUE hair transplant is a technique developed from the manual FUE technique.
It is preferred by doctors and patients over the FUT strip technique because it does not contain surgical intervention or stitching.
At the beginning of the FUE technique, the doctor used to manually extract the follicles using a manual punch.
But thanks to medical developments, an automated device has been developed that extracts the follicles faster.
This device is known as the micro motor, hence the name Micro FUE.
Using the automated micromotor device, the doctors extract the follicles from the donor area one by one and then transplant them into the recipient areas.
As a result, this method does not cause clearly visible scarring.
The Micro FUE takes between 6 to 8 hours, depending on the size of the area to be transplanted and the number of extracted follicles.
Advantages of the Micro FUE technique:
- It does not leave visible scars.
- Provides natural results.
- High density, where 4500-5000 follicles can be transplanted.
- Faster recovery.
Disadvantages of the Micro FUE technique:
- It may cause damage to the scalp, leading to necrosis if not done properly.
- The channels may be opened larger than the size of the follicles, which may lead to more bleeding or no hair growth.
